I'm Maddy Myers!
I'm an editor and journalist, a a podcast host, and a synth-pop musician.
Right now,
I'm the Senior Games Editor at Polygon. I’m also a co-host of the video game podcast Triple Click along with Kirk Hamilton and Jason Schreier.
I co-host an X-Men podcast called The Mutant Ages with my good friend and frequent collaborator Ryan Pagella. We also have a Mutant Ages YouTube channel with Let’s Plays of X-Men games, comedy skits, and more.
I also write songs about Metroid and feelings.
Previously,
I used to be the Deputy Editor of Kotaku. Before that, I was an editor at The Mary Sue. Before that, I was the Assistant Editor of Paste Magazine's games section. Before that, I worked at the Boston Phoenix from 2007 to 2013. My freelance writing has appeared at Offworld, iMore, Kill Screen, re/Action, Slice of MIT and MIT Technology Review.
I used to play the keytar and sing lead vocals in a rock band called The Robot Knights.
Over the years, I have co-hosted several podcasts and shows that are no longer in production: Let's Watch 2 Movies (movie review podcast), Insomniacs in the Morning (morning chat show), Isometric podcast (gaming news podcast), Samus and Sagat (comedy skit show).
Well, that's about it!
If you are a total stranger who wants to send me an email about your feelings towards me, please play this game by Caelyn Sandel instead. If you want to tell me or any of my Polygon colleagues about some video game news, go here. Thanks!
